Keep Stella Safe’s Story

Her name was Stella. She was the founder’s American Staffordshire Terrier and the reason for this service. Stella was very much attached to me. She protected me on walks, and watched over me, and comforted me. She followed me everywhere. Although she had some separation anxiety, she was overjoyed when I returned home. Life was great as long as I returned home.

But what if I didn’t return home due to an automobile accident or medical emergency? Who could take care of Stella the same day? Where could she be boarded and how would I get her there? An Animal Control services rescue would not go well after breaking into my home to quiet Stella’s barking. And after some time in custody if I cannot pick her up, euthanasia would be her fate.  That would hurt me deeply.  Her fate would be a terrible end and it was due to my accident.

This is the reason for KeepStellaSafe and the Pet Guardian services. We are devoted to protecting your pet when you cannot. We are your backup plan to protect your pet family until you return.  We work for you and your pet to keep them safe when you cannot.

We are your backup plan if an emergency happens to you and you can’t take care of your pet.

• We create a plan with you if an emergency happens
• We confirm your contacts, dog sitters, boarders, and veterinarians BEFORE an emergency happens to you
• We create and sign a Pet Trust/Guardian contract which gives us the appropriate authority to care for your pet
• We will protect your pet bound because we know how important it is to your life.

I created this service for all other single pet owners wanting to protect their fur baby.  I am a certified Professional Pet Sitter, Business Consultant, Mother of 3 great Kids and a Fur Baby Mom.  I am serious about keeping the pet and human bond.  I am a lifelong cat person with Scotty, a Tuxedo cat.  I have become a dog mom over the past 16 years with my first dog, Stella, and Lucy, a Bull Terrier Pitbull mix.  After Stella left us due to Cushing’s Disease in May 2022, I rescued Roxy, a Brown Lab Mix, to keep Lucy company.  We live in beautiful Colorado.
